von 14:30 Uhr bis 15:30 Uhr

Do you want to know more about how the climate crisis affects the economy? Do you want to know more about climate and nature-related risks impacting the financial sector? And importantly: what the ECB and other central banks do to account for climate change and nature degradation in their monetary policy and banking supervision mandate. Then join the discussion with Frank Elderson, ECB Executive Board member, share your opinions, and learn more. The Town hall will be moderated by Eva Schulz.

Frank Elderson has been a member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank (ECB) since 2020 and, since 2021, Vice-Chair of the ECB’s Supervisory Board. The Dutchman is also a recognized expert when it comes to sustainability in the financial sector. He was the first chair of the Network for Greening the Financial System, a network of central banks and supervisors established in 2018 to focus on green finance, and he co-chairs the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Risks of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.

The Town hall will be held in English.
