This will be fascinating! Our stage is set for a high-profile meeting: between a member of the ECB Governing Council and a member of the US Federal Reserve System (Fed). 

At Euro20+, we extend a warm welcome to: 

Joachim Nagel. Since early 2022, he has been President of the Deutsche Bundesbank – and thus one of the most important voices in European monetary policy. Mr Nagel, who holds a PhD in economics, worked at the Bundesbank for many years in various positions, including as a member of the Executive Board. In 2016 he moved to the KfW Banking Group, and then, in 2020, to the Bank for International Settlements. He’s looking forward to his fourth appearance at Euro20+ and the conversation with Philip N. Jefferson. 

Philip N. Jefferson. Since September 2023, he has been Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Mr Jefferson joined the Board of Governors in May 2022. This will be his first guest appearance at the Deutsche Bundesbank and Euro20+. He’s looking forward to the conversation with Joachim Nagel and moderator Eva Schulz – as well as your questions too, of course!
